Group Project
Overview
The Immigration process between the U.S. and Mexico in recent years has become a challenging process. The rate of illegal immigrants.
Solution
Our solution is a U.S. government funded organization aiming to make legal immigration more accessible to those who wish to migrate to the Unites States
FROM utilizes mobile pop-ups run by local volunteers in major cities throughout Mexico to connect individuals and families to the information and resources they need to safely immigrate. We will provide public general information meetings on the legal immigration process and one-on-one appointments in which our users will have personal access to our volunteers.
Challenge
The immigration process FROM Mexico to America is complicated and made more so by a lack of access to information and resources.
Our research revealed that migrants depend on unreliable information via word-of-mouth and uncertain resources via distant contacts. Many turn to illegal forms of immigration because they feel it is the easier path. These paths put migrants, especially migrant families, at a higher risk of facing violence.
Survey Results
Surveys
Due to the topics sensitivity over immigration my group and I developed a survey on Google Forms to receive insights into our target audiences experiences. The survey was posted to a Migration support group, and as well as shared within our teams personal connections with Mexican immigrants.

What I learned
From this project I gained a new view to the realities of how failing the current immigration process actually is. My group and I were challenged with creating a non-profit for a world problem that is actually heavily needed especially with people who are currently still entering illegally into the United States. After FROM was developed I that through design my group and I could raise more awareness for the immigrants.
Further Development
Website
In the near future I would like to revisit FROM, and further develop a website where the user can use the website to seek resources, make appointments, and create personal accounts for saving their data..
